🌺 Aloha for Life Run & The Hope Fund
Walk. Run. Heal. Hope.
🌊 About the Run
The Aloha for Life Run is more than a 5K. It’s a movement to bring our community together in strength, awareness, and hope as we address the growing mental health crisis facing Kaua‘i youth.
This year’s run will feature:
A 5K walk/run open to all ages and abilities
A Wellness Expo highlighting fitness, art and healthy living
Speakers sharing personal stories of hope and resilience
Resource Booths connecting families with crisis lines, counseling services, and youth programs
By walking or running together, we show our keiki and our ‘ohana that no one is alone.
💛 Why This Matters on Kaua‘i
1 in 3 Kaua‘i teens reports feeling persistently sad or hopeless.
Nearly 1 in 11 attempts suicide each year.
Suicide is one of the leading causes of death for Hawai‘i youth ages 15–24.
These are not just statistics. They are classmates, teammates, friends, and family members. The Aloha for Life Run raises both awareness and essential funds to change this reality.
🌺 The Hope Fund
Proceeds from the Aloha for Life Run directly support the Hope Fund — a lifeline for Kaua‘i teens in need.
The Hope Fund provides immediate access to resources that build resilience, healing, and hope:
Therapy & Counseling: Covering sessions for teens in crisis
Fitness & Movement: Jiu Jitsu, boxing, surf lessons, gym passes, and more
Creative Outlets: Art, music, journaling, and workshops to process emotions
Through the Hope Fund, no teen should ever be denied the help they need because of cost.
🙌 How You Can Help
There are two ways to participate in this movement:
Sign Up to Run/Walk – Be part of the 5K event and show up in person for youth and families on Kaua‘i.
Donate or Fundraise – Even if you can’t be here on race day, your gift fuels the Hope Fund and supports our island’s most vulnerable teens.
Together, we can create a Kaua‘i where every young person knows: You are seen. You are valued. You are not alone.
